NY Times Book Review Smears Katha Pollitt
There's a penalty to be paid for being an intelligent and outspoken feminist. One such penalty is that the NYT Book Review will say decidedly unflattering things about you.
More power to people who seek to be treated as equals. No. Who demand to have any other behaviour eradicated. I feel the review of the review was overly strong - particularly "The Mommy Myth: The Idealization of Motherhood and How it Has Undermined Women." we have come so far from there. Women are standind up and saying how they feel and competing, in a self assured way, in the world. We still have a way to go. Go, we must.
